John asks…

HEART BURN & STOMACH PAIN?

I have been suffering from heartburn for several years and have been prescribed various antacid preparations. These no longer seem to work. I have constant heartburn and a ‘stabbing’ pain just below by breast bone which seems to travel through to my back. This causes trouble sleeping. I also get restless legs where my legs bounce around in the night, sometimes quite severely. The doctor keeps changing the stomach tablet, and blood tests are ok, any suggestions, causes and remedies to this problem. I am considering getting a private scan done to investigate but need a doctors referral letter…..

answers:

Doctors always prescribe antacids for heartburn and indigestion but the same symptoms can be caused by beaing low on stomach acid and/or digestive enzymes. Try not taking the antacids and taking a digestive aid supplement which contains a range of digestive enzymes plus HCI. I think you will find it makes a big improvement.

help with a couple health questions please?

1: The ingredient acetaminophen found in cold remedies and pain killers:

1. can cause severe bleeding in a mother and her baby before, during, and after delivery.
2. can cause inflammation of the liver, jaundice, and kidney failure if abused.
3. has been removed from the market because of its dangerous side effects if abused.
4. is a stimulant and should never be used in conjunction with coffee, tea or other stimulants.

2: According to one of the websites, you should take antibiotics:

1. only until you begin to feel better.
2. even if you don’t feel any symptoms, but you think you might be sick.
3. as directed, unless they don’t seem to be working.
4. for the full time prescribed, even if you begin to feel better.

3: Expectorants are typically used in the treatment of:

1. coughs.
2. itching.
3. heartburn.
4. infection.
4: Abuse of aspirin can cause:

1. high blood pressure and increased danger of stroke.
2. drowsiness and decreased ability to concentrate.
3. stomach ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding.
4. migraine headaches and insomnia.

5: On an OTC label, “Uses” refers to:

1. symptoms or diseases the product will treat or prevent.
2 . when not to use the product, when to stop taking it, when to see a doctor, and possible side effects.
3. how much to take, how to take it, and how long to take it.
4. product category (such as antihistamine, antacid, or cough suppressant).

answers:

Is this ur hw…well asking here is not a good idea bc pp just want points..but for num 2 antibiotics should be taken until they are completely done or else the bacteria can become resistant to it of not killed all the way.
I’ve never heard of an expectorant b4 sorry.
Num 1 has not been removed from market lol, I think it can cause slight bleeding in brain (but im not sure it could be the other one) and it could cause jaundice

Joseph asks…

Okay, so this is a question about RUNNING&&GYM?

Okay , we have gym/swimming
we took the swimming test
1
2
3
ones are the worst. they said that. two’s in the middle. threes are best.
they start with ones. and work their way up. each class gets 3 weeks. for the 9 weeks.

idk why but i do NOT know how to run. yup. i said it. i DON’T know how to run. i know i know, it’s just like walking really fast, but my legs don’t process that, i think it has something to do with when i was 4 i split my leg open and got 7 stitches. bad accident. leg hurt ever since.

anyways

i stink at runnin. as you can guess. but i still have to do it obviously. our teachers make us do 20 jumping jacks, 20 situps, 15 pushups, and 10 4 count burpees.
then
we run 5 laps.
FIVE
you would think i could run that right?
no.
you’re wrong. atleast. i can’t run it at the same pace as everyone else.
lemme tell you THE worst part:
[i am a 3]
all the ones are in swimming, so its the very athletic people in gym class. i’m the SLOWEST one. they’re waiting for ME to finish so they can play dodgeball.
idk if EVERYBODY feels this way but this is how i feel when i run:
i feel like i have heartburn, like my lungs are on fire, and i get cramps in my legs so bad i almost fall down.
okay: after sounding really obnoxious and pushy, [i just realized]
here are my questions [ yeah, there's more than one, sry bout that ]

1. Is my not knowing of running pretty much a phenomenon, something to do with my leg, or just me being dumb, or me being completely out of shape (btw, to check if i AM i’m 5″8′ and weigh 128]

2. how do i make it less obvious im so SLOW in gym. that im so sore in gym, that it hurts? anotherwards, is there a way i can go faster but not have it hurt that much? probably not. otherwise..everybody would be like, extremely fast. well..they are compared to me.

3. Any remedies for sore legs? i read an answer to this before, it said it’s because of black fluids. exercising is the best way to get rid of them? Is that true?

THank you for putting up with all my pushiness. I guess I’m kinda takin it out on you guys what happened in gym wednesday ): im sorry

thanks for answering this!!

answers:

Sounds like you just need to practice. You are not overweight by any means but may be out of shape. Start by running half a mile a day at home and work your way up to more. Eventually you will see your times improving. Keep up the hard work. Trust me it takes ALOT of dedication. I know you can do it. Email me if you want some drills or a training program
