Heartburn and indigestion remedies?
I hav really bad heartburn lately. Along with indigestion and it constantly feels like there is a big bubble of air trapped in my chest. I try to lay down and it’s impossible to go to sleep when I’m that uncomfortable. This morning I puked because of it,and now I’m getting more air bubbles trapped in my chest.
It’s torture….what are some remedies/medicines that are safe for me to use while pregnant?
Thanks
I eat Tums religiously, they have gotten to the point where they only help with heartburn,so the indigestion remains.
The only time it really goes away is when I sit up and beat on my back so I can burp, but when I lie down it seems to come back.

remedy answers:
Milk and tums is all that has helped me. I’m 34 weeks and over the past 5 weeks or so my heartburn has gotten so bad! It drives me crazy. They say not to lay down for a while after you eat. Give it a little time. And try to eat early before going to bed. Drink milk slowly.. And maybe talk to your doctor about anything else you could take. I used to be on Prevacid for acid reflux disease and that helped. Maybe they could try something like that! This is just another one of those annoying pregnancy symptoms that we have to deal with!

Mom is a diabetic, can take heartburn/indigestion?
Hello,
my mom is in her 50′s and takes needles for diabetes. Last night she ate a deli turkey sandwich, cheese, and bread. Today she said it feels like it is stuck in her chest area and is causing pain. Does this sound like indigestion/heartburn? What OTC products can she take safely with her diabetes? (Please suggest something, product or home remedy – don’t say go to the doc they are closed today for the holiday). Thank you.

remedy answers:
There are many choices for the common cold, indigestion, constipation, and other conditions remedied by OTCs. Your Rite Aid Pharmacist can give you good advice on choosing the one that will be safe and work best for you.
Here are some tips:
* Read the label and package insert carefully.
* Choose products that contain very little sugar.
* Choose products that contain little or no alcohol.
* Use the same pharmacy and make sure all of your health care providers know what prescription drugs and OTC products you are currently taking.
* Check your blood glucose more frequently while using these products.
Typically OTC for indigestion is safe to use in Diabetes
Gaviscon, Axid, Pepcid AC, Rite Aid Famotidine, Tagamet, Zantac, Rite Aid Ranitidine, Tums EX Sugar Free, Prilosec OTC

Can anyone remember the recent advert for Indigestion relief.?
Recently I’ve noticed a new advert on TV here in Britain. The advert claims their product is a new remedy for all day relief for heartburn and indigestion. However, I’ve not seen the advert for several days now, and I’ve forgotten the name of the product. Can anyone help? Cheers everyone. Harold Walters.

Hi there,
It’s called Pantoloc Control- sounds more like underwear to me though!
